Soccer Recap: Albemarle's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

After flying high against Orange County last Monday, Albemarle came back down to earth. Albemarle fell just short of the Freeman Mavericks by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. The loss put an end to Albemarle's undefeated start to the season.

Their goal came courtesy of Gavin Appel, who's now up to three this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Albemarle fell to 2-1-1. As for Freeman, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Albemarle will look to defend their home pitch on the 28th against Eastern View at 7:00 p.m. As for Freeman, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Maggie Walker at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The match will give Freeman their first taste of in-conference action this season.
