Volleyball Recap: Crete-Monee Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Crete-Monee won the last time they faced Thornton and things went their way on Thursday too. The Warriors walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Wildcats.

Crete-Monee easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-21.

Taleeana Ramirez paced Crete-Monee's offense, picking up four kills. Ramirez got some help from Sophie Wieczorek and her seven assists. Lucinda Joyce controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Crete-Monee pushed their record up to 16-18 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Thornton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season.

Crete-Monee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Chicago Washington on the 28th. Thornton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
