Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Taylorsville). They put the hurt on the Cyprus Pirates with a sharp 8-2 victory on Friday. Elias Mendoza was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

The win made it two in a row for Taylorsville and bumps their season record up to 5-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those two matches. As for Cyprus, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taylorsville will venture away from home to take on Granger at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
