Baseball Recap: Montgomery Victorious

Montgomery owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They came out on top against The Meadows School Mustangs by a score of 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Aztecs.

The result came thanks to Erick Ramos's shutout, as he gave up just three hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Montgomery is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 4-5 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on David Abdul, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Danny Nu?ez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

The win got Montgomery back to even at 6-6. As for The Meadows School, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.

Montgomery will take on Santana at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for The Meadows School, they will challenge Monte Vista at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs are facing the Monarchs at the right time seeing as the Monarchs are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
