Baseball Recap: Ocosta Takes a Loss

Ocosta came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Naselle Comets, falling 11-1. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Comets recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Ocosta's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Naselle, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ocosta will welcome Wahkiakum at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mules have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season. As for Naselle, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Oakville at 4:00 p.m. The Comets are facing the Acorns at the right time seeing as the Acorns are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
