Football Game Preview: Shiloh Christian Saints vs. Greenwood Bulldogs + Official Tickets

Shiloh Christian hasn't had much luck against Greenwood recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Saints will take on the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Shiloh Christian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.

Shiloh Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Sylvan Hills 52-28. The Saints might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Shiloh Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cole Creighton, who threw for 385 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt. Creighton's passing game has become a key predictor of the Saints' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Charlie Kroell helped Creighton out on the ground, rushing for 105 yards and three scores.

Meanwhile, Greenwood faced Benton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Bulldogs enjoyed a cozy 63-45 victory over the Panthers. The Bulldogs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Greenwood had a senior duo take command as Kane Archer rushed for 135 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 7.5 yards per carry and Champ Davis gained 229 total yards and five touchdowns. Another pass catcher making a difference was Cooper Bland, who picked up 94 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Greenwood's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Shiloh Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.

Saturday's game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Creighton and Archer. Creighton just won't slow down this season and has thrown 41 touchdowns (and and only 7 picks) while averaging 310.7 passing yards per game. Archer has been a dominant force too and has thrown 30 touchdowns (and and only 4 picks) while averaging 267.7 passing yards per game.

Shiloh Christian couldn't quite get it done against Greenwood in their previous meeting back in September as they fell 35-24. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Bulldogs' Wesley Raggio, who rushed for 115 yards and two scores.
