Baseball Recap: Eagle Valley Takes a Loss

Eagle Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 14-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Weld Central Rebels.

James Bivins made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Jackson Woodworth also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Bivins wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Eagle Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Eagle Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Weld Central, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Eagle Valley beat Weld Central by a score of 9-1 later that day.
