Basketball Game Preview: South Garner Titans vs. Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs

The South Garner Titans will face off against the Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as South Garner comes in on four and Southeast Raleigh on 18.

South Garner will bounce into Saturday's game after beating Corinth Holders, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. South Garner blew past Corinth Holders 68-41 on Tuesday. The Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Southeast Raleigh on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Willow Spring out of the water with a 70-19 final score. The Bulldogs are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the 18th contest they've won by 20+ points this season.

South Garner better focus on containing Trinity Dunn and Korryn Davis as the pair were huge in Southeast Raleigh's win. Dunn posted 15 points, while Davis scored 14 points. Dunn continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of A'Ziyah Trent, who had ten points.

Southeast Raleigh pushed their record up to 25-1 with the win, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 35.7 points. As for South Garner, their victory bumped their record up to 19-7.

South Garner came up short against Southeast Raleigh in their previous matchup two weeks ago, falling 67-59. Can South Garner avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
