Basketball Recap: Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Takes a Loss

Chetek-Weyerhaeuser was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Northwestern Tigers, falling 49-27. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 395th, while the Tigers are ranked 138th).

Chetek-Weyerhaeuser's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Northwestern, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5.

Looking ahead, Chetek-Weyerhaeuser will face off against Hayward at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Northwestern, they will challenge Ashland at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Northwestern is facing Ashland at the right time seeing as Ashland is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
