Basketball Recap: Dylan Shafer's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Crofton over Severna Park

Crofton lost against Severna Park back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Crofton fell 52-39 to the Severna Park Falcons.

Several Crofton players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dylan Shafer, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. Those 13 points gave Shafer a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Miles Denton, who posted seven points and three steals.

Crofton now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Severna Park, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Crofton will welcome Indian Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Indian Creek knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Crofton likes a good challenge. As for Severna Park, they will head out on the road to challenge Westlake at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
