Basketball Game Preview: Channelview Falcons vs. Summer Creek Bulldogs

The Channelview Falcons will head out on the road to square off against the Summer Creek Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 78-34, which was the final score in Channelview's tilt against King on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 995th, while the Panthers are ranked 44th).

Meanwhile, Summer Creek came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 68-60.

Summer Creek has also been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for Channelview, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-24.

Channelview ended up a good deal behind Summer Creek in their previous matchup back in January, losing 72-56. Can Channelview avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
