Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kiley Ellis and Ava Skrypec Lead Chelsea to Victory

Chelsea proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Morenci 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Chelsea has posted since August 23rd.

Leading Chelsea to victory were Ava Skrypec and Kiley Ellis. Skrypec had ten digs, while Ellis had five aces and three digs. That's the most aces Ellis has posted since back in August. Bella Radomski also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Chelsea is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6-1 record this season. As for Morenci, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5-1.

Chelsea didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Addison on the 20th. Hopefully Morenci paid attention to Chelsea's game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on Chelsea at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
