Softball Recap: Carl Hayden Community Takes a Loss

After flying high against Dysart last Monday, Carl Hayden Community came back down to earth. The Falcons fell 9-5 to the Fairfax Stampede on Tuesday. The Falcons have struggled against the Stampede recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Carl Hayden Community saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abryanna Rodriguez, who went 2-for-4 with one home run. Maria Beltran was another, going 2-for-3 with one double.

Carl Hayden Community's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Fairfax, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Stampede beat Carl Hayden Community by a score of 10-3 on Thursday.
