The Collegedale Academy Collegedale Eagle will stay at home for another game and welcome the Sale Creek Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd.
Last Sunday, Collegedale Academy came up short against Shenandoah Valley Academy and fell 57-45. While losing is never fun, Collegedale Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 372nd in Tennessee, while Shenandoah Valley Academy is ranked 167th in Virginia).
Sale Creek posted their biggest win yet this season on Friday. They blew past Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts 73-50.
Jackson Moore continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with nine assists and two steals. He hasn't dropped below eight assists for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Dallas Billingsley, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Collegedale Academy's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-12. As for Sale Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
Collegedale Academy came up short against Sale Creek in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 55-42. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Moore, who scored 21 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds.
