Recap: Horizon Huskies vs. Cactus Shadows Falcons

Even though the Horizon Huskies have not done well against the Cactus Shadows Falcons recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Horizon strolled past Cactus Shadows with points to spare, taking the game 45-31. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Horizon.

Mia Brown continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 13 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Paisy Perkins, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.

Horizon has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Cactus Shadows, they bumped their record down to 7-11 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Horizon will challenge Notre Dame Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Notre Dame Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six last Friday. As for Cactus Shadows, they will head out on the road to face off against Desert Mountain at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Desert Mountain has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 22.
