Basketball Recap: McCallie Comes Up Short

McCallie lost against Knoxville Catholic last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The McCallie Blue Tornado took a 66-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knoxville Catholic Fighting Irish. The Blue Tornado have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Knoxville Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tj Tipton, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 14 boards. The dominant performance gave Tipton a new career-high in rebounds. Cade Murphy was another key player, dropping a double-double with 19 points and 11 boards.

McCallie's loss dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Knoxville Catholic, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-7.

As of now, neither McCallie nor Knoxville Catholic have any future games scheduled.
