Basketball Recap: Freedom Prep Academy Eagles vs. Fairley Bulldogs
Freedom Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Fairley Bulldogs 68-19. Having soared to a lofty 60 points in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.
Fairley was led to victory by Brandon Chatman and Issac Wright Jr.. Chatman dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 boards, while Wright Jr. went 9 for 15 on his way to 21 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Wright Jr. continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Alarin Polk, who posted six points and four steals.
Freedom Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Fairley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.
