It was fun while it lasted, but Cypress Bay's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Wednesday. They took a hard 25-6 fall against the Western Wildcats. If the Lightning were looking for revenge after losing 20-7 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cypress Bay fell to 3-1. As for Western, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cypress Bay will welcome Cooper City at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cypress Bay's defense has only allowed eight points per game this season, so Cooper City's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Western, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Pompano Beach at 4:30 p.m.
