Volleyball Recap: Rangely Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Taylor Fouch and Kaelyn Geer

Rangely was the 3-0 winner over Vail Mountain when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell just short of the Rangers by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rangely actually scored more points across those five sets (104-95), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-19, 12-25, 25-22, 15-13.

Rangely's loss came despite strong showings from Kaelyn Geer and Taylor Fouch. Geer had 22 digs and two assists, while Fouch had 13 digs. Geer has been hot, having posted 12 or more digs the last six times she's played.

Rangely's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Vail Mountain, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Rangely and Soroco will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Vail Mountain, they will take on Basalt at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
