After a string of eight wins, French Settlement's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against the Live Oak Eagles, falling 15-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Lions have suffered since March 21st.

French Settlement saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Acosta, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

French Settlement's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Live Oak, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-11 record this season.

Coincidentally, French Settlement and Live Oak will both be playing Dutchtown the next time they take the field. The Lions will head out to face the Griffins at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Eagles will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
