Avon Lake has gone 8-2 against Olmsted Falls recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Shoremen will look to defend their home field against the Bulldogs at 4:45 p.m. Avon Lake will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Avon Lake is headed into the match having just posted their closest win since April 7th on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past Chardon 9-8.

Alex Soloff was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Adam McFadden was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Olmsted Falls lost 16-2 to Steele on Tuesday. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Comets recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Joey Goetz was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

Avon Lake's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Olmsted Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Avon Lake skirted past Olmsted Falls 1-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Shoremen repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
