Volleyball Recap: Pocono Mountain West Takes a Loss

Pocono Mountain West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Parkland Trojans, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-14, 25-20.

Jerel Sims paced Pocono Mountain West's offense, picking up four kills. Sims got some help from Antonio Baric and his seven assists. Finally, Baric was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Pocono Mountain West's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Parkland, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Pocono Mountain West will square off against rival Whitehall at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Parkland is set to take on their familiar foe Nazareth Area at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
