Softball Recap: Ralston Valley Mustangs vs. Columbine Rebels

Ralston Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 10-7 to the Columbine Rebels. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 14-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.

Maylei Washburn made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Diebold, who went 4-for-4 with a home run and two RBI.

She wasn't the only one working in the home runs department: Ralston Valley lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
