Softball Recap: Saturday's Defeat Ends Fernley's Winning Streak

Fernley and Churchill County squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Fernley had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Greenwave by a score of 4-3. The Vaqueros' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Taylor Tollestrup made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last 22 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sara Moffett, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Fernley's loss dropped their record down to 28-10. As for Churchill County, they pushed their record up to 21-11 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
