Softball Recap: Riverview Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

Riverview strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They had just enough and edged out the Milan Big Reds 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pirates have posted against the Big Reds since April 24, 2019.

Ella Vinco was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Vinco is crushing it when it comes to home runs: she's launched at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Keira Logan, who went 3-for-5 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Riverview pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Milan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverview will take on Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Milan, they will host Flat Rock at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Big Reds are facing the Rams at the right time seeing as the Rams are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
