            Basketball Recap: Thompson Valley Eagles vs. Roosevelt Roughriders        
        
		
        
        
            Thompson Valley suffered their biggest  defeat since February 20, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against  the Roosevelt Roughriders, falling  67-41. The  loss   continues a  trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Roughriders: they've now lost six in a row.
 Despite the loss, Thompson Valley still got an impressive performance from   Mekayla Macias, who  went 7 of 15  en route to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Libby Jarosik, who  posted seven  points and five  rebounds.
 Roosevelt got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Kyla Hollier out in front who  went 9 for 19  on her way to 26 points along with seven  boards and three  steals. Hollier's evening made it five games in a row in which  she has scored at least ten points.  Ryanne Bahnsen-Price was another key player,  dropping  a double-double on 17  points and 13  rebounds.
Thompson Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Roosevelt, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with the  win, which was their third straight  at home.
 Thompson Valley will square off against Wellington at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Thompson Valley is facing Wellington at the right time seeing as Wellington is stuck on  a  ten-game losing streak. As for Roosevelt, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  game,  a  61-13  victory against Glenwood Springs on the 25th.
