Platteview finds home court redemption against Beatrice

Recap: Platteview Trojans vs. Beatrice Orangemen

There's no place like home for the Platteview Trojans, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Beatrice by a score of 43-35 on Monday. Given Platteview's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while Beatrice is ranked 164th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Jaxon Adams, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Elijah Steele, who scored nine points along with two blocks.

Platteview has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Beatrice, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-8.

Platteview will take on Ashland-Greenwood at 5:06 p.m. on Thursday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Dane Jacobsen and Adams. As for Beatrice, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Norris at 7:15 p.m.
