Softball Recap: Phoenix Takes a Loss

Phoenix came into this matchup off a tough 21-run defeat last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Pulaski Blue Devils by a score of 7-5 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Firebirds have suffered since May 10, 2025.

Phoenix's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Pulaski, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-6 record.

Looking ahead, Phoenix will challenge Westhill at 5:00 p.m. on May 7. As for Pulaski, they will square off against Hannibal at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
