Volleyball Game Preview: Pomona Red Devils vs. Edgewood Lions

Pomona is 1-7 against Edgewood since March of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Pomona Red Devils will be playing at home against the Edgewood Lions at 3:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Pomona is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Bassett.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-13, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Edgewood came up short against Ganesha on Thursday and fell 3-1.

Edgewood started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-28, 25-20, 25-21, 25-22.

Pomona's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Edgewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Pomona might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Edgewood when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Pomona avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
