While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the First Baptist Christian Sabres who were credited with the win. The First Baptist Christian Sabres got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Mentor Christian's one.

Mentor Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3-1. As for First Baptist Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1-2.

Mentor Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Christian Community at 5:30 p.m. on the 17th. As for First Baptist Christian, they will take on Lutheran West at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
