Football Game Preview: Devils Lake Firebirds vs. Minot North + Official Tickets

The Devils Lake Firebirds will take on Minot North on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Devils Lake sitting on five straight victories and Minot North on six.

Devils Lake is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of North Dakota's top teams: St. Mary's Central, who was ranked 24th at the time (Devils Lake was ranked 12th). The Firebirds breezed past the Saints to the tune of 55-14 on Friday. The Firebirds' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, while Minot North put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Watford City. Minot North blew past Watford City 43-0. Fans of Minot North have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Minot North's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Devils Lake, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Things could have been worse for Devils Lake, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 35-20 loss to Minot North when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can the Firebirds avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
