Softball Recap: Greensboro Comes Up Short

Greensboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Hale County Wildcats, falling 23-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-2 two weeks ago.

Greensboro's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Hale County, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greensboro will head out to square off against Hatch at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Hale County, they will challenge University Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
