Soccer Recap: Ilwaco Comes Up Short

Ilwaco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 4-0 to the Tenino Beavers. Ilwaco were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Tenino apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Ilwaco's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Tenino, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7.

Looking ahead, Ilwaco will take on Montesano at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Montesano will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Ilwaco surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tenino, they will challenge Hoquiam at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tenino will be up against Hoquiam's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.56 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
