Pioneer has won six straight games at home, while Dixon has won six straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Patriots will host the Rams at 4:00 p.m. Pioneer's pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so Dixon's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
On Wednesday, Pioneer got the win against Rodriguez by a conclusive 9-2. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Jia Beebe spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on ten hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sofia Hernandez, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and one double while going 3-for-4. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Marisa Bryson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Hernandez wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Pioneer lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Dixon hadn't done well against East Nicolaus recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Rams had just enough and edged out the Spartans 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rams have posted since May 30, 2024.
Dixon also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Dakota Gaball gave up only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, Rachael Cayabyab was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Olivia Gomez, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Dixon is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.2 runs. As for Pioneer, their win bumped their record up to 14-4.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Pioneer has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .432. However, it's not like Dixon struggles in that department as they've averaged .547. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Pioneer came out on top in a nail-biter against Dixon in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
