Basketball Game Preview: Windham Jaguars vs. Bishop Guertin Cardinals

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Jaguars take on the Cardinals on Wednesday.

Windham easily dispatched Nashua North last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Windham fell just short of Alvirne by a score of 53-51 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Jaguars have suffered since January 14th.

Meanwhile, Bishop Guertin entered their tilt with Winnacunnet on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They had just enough and edged out the Warriors 64-62.

Windham's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points over those games. As for Bishop Guertin, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Everything came up roses for Windham against Bishop Guertin in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 90-57 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Windham since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
