Soccer Recap: Coral Gables Triumphs

The Coral Gables Cavaliers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Mater Academy Charter Lions 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Coral Gables.

Joaquin Gamarra Duran and Aliksandros Adams scored both of Coral Gables' goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Coral Gables' victory bumped their record up to 6-3-3. As for Mater Academy Charter, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-5-2.

Coral Gables will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Miami at 4:00 p.m. on January 12, 2026. Mater Academy Charter will take on Florida Christian in a holiday battle at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
