Basketball Recap: Arkansas City Takes a Loss

Arkansas City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 59-46 to the Salina Central Mustangs. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 50-49.

Kaden Snyder was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 16 points and ten boards for Salina Central. The game was Snyder's third in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Gannon Cole, who posted 13 points.

Arkansas City's loss dropped their record down to 2-13-1. As for Salina Central, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arkansas City will challenge Andover at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Andover's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches. As for Salina Central, they will square off against Eisenhower at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Salina Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.1 points per game this season.
