Baseball Game Preview: Voorhees Vikings vs. Manville Mustangs

For the second straight game, Voorhees will face off against Manville. The Vikings will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. Voorhees has given up an average of 7.5 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Voorhees is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since May 14, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 17-3 to Manville. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Manville's part, Aidan Johnson was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those runs were Johnson's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bobby Petrone, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Manville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Manville now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Voorhees, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
