Baseball Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Liberty had lost 15 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 0-9 to make it 16. They lost 10-0 to the Champion Golden Flashes. The Leopards were not able to make up for their defeat to the Golden Flashes from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

As for Champion, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games.

For Champion's part, the team relied heavily on Bradey Quinby, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Those three runs gave Quinby a new career-high. Shane Hixson also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

While Liberty had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
