While Bishop Moore's win against Foundation Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bishop Moore Hornets won by a run and slipped past the Foundation Academy Lions 4-3. The four-run effort marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Layton Hall tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over 5.1 innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in February.

On the hitting side, Kai Lwin was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Bishop Moore is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for Foundation Academy and nudges their season record down to 7-5.

Bishop Moore and Foundation Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Bishop Moore will square off against Lake Highland Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Friday up 287 places (34 vs. 321). Bishop Moore is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.3 runs per game this season. Similarly, Foundation Academy (ranked 87th) will meet Tavares (ranked 419th) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
