Softball Game Preview: South Hills Huskies vs. Colony Titans

The South Hills Huskies will head out to square off against the Colony Titans at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

South Hills will head out to face Colony after giving up their first home loss of the season on Wednesday. The Huskies fell 4-1 to Los Altos.

Abigail Quintero was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she pitched six innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits.

Meanwhile, Colony was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Los Altos.

Colony's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for South Hills, the loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 14-7-1.

Colony's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: South Hills hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .392. It's a different story for Colony, though, as they've only averaged .257. Will they be able to contain South Hills' hitters?

South Hills took their win against Colony in their previous meeting last Friday by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
