Basketball Game Preview: Central Academy Cougars vs. West Stanly Colts

Central Academy is on an 11-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, West Stanly a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Central Academy Cougars will welcome the West Stanly Colts at 7:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Tuesday, Central Academy was beaten by Forest Hills 80-22.

Meanwhile, West Stanly suffered their closest defeat since December 1, 2023 on Friday. They fell just short of South Stanly by a score of 63-61.

West Stanly's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Central Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.

Central Academy was dealt a bruising 60-25 loss at the hands of West Stanly in their previous matchup back in January. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Central Academy was down 40-13.
