Football Game Preview: Jarrell Cougars vs. Wimberley Texans + How To Watch

Jarrell is 0-4 against Wimberley since October of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Cougars will head out to challenge the Texans at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Jarrell's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

Jarrell will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Navarro, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Cougars strolled past the Panthers with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 35-21. 35 seems to be a good number for the Cougars as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 31 points the game before, Wimberley was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They took a 23-9 bruising from Salado. The game marked the Texans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Jarrell's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.8 points over those games. As for Wimberley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Jarrell was dealt a bruising 41-8 loss at the hands of Wimberley in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Cougars, Cody Stoever (who threw for 252 yards and four TDs while completing 89.5% of his passes, and also punched in a pair of scores on the ground) won't be suiting up this time.
