Recap: Wilson Hall Barons vs. Trinity Collegiate Titans
It was a good run, but the Wilson Hall Barons unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 35-22 to Trinity Collegiate. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wilson Hall in their matchups with Trinity Collegiate: they've now lost nine in a row.
It was another big night for Saleese Kind, who scored 17 points along with five steals for Trinity Collegiate. Kind is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Makayla Legette was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with four steals.
Wilson Hall's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6. As for Trinity Collegiate, their victory bumped their record up to 17-4.
Wilson Hall won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Porter-Gaud at 1:00 p.m. on January 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Porter-Gaud is ranked 92nd, while Wilson Hall is ranked 79th). As for Trinity Collegiate, they will be playing at home against Heathwood Hall Episcopal at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Heathwood Hall Episcopal focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday.
