The Trinity Lutheran Cougars are taking a road trip to challenge the Hauser Jets at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hauser took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Trinity Lutheran, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, Trinity Lutheran turned things around against Scottsburg on Monday. They blew past the Warriors and Warriorettes 14-1. That 13-run margin sets a new team best for the Cougars this season.
Addie Burcham made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Trinity Lutheran let Clark Branham and Brooklyn Whipker run wild. Branham went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Whipker went 1-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three runs gave Branham a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Marissa Baker, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Milan hit Hauser with a 11-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Jets came up short against the Indians, falling 13-0. Considering the last time the Jets couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.
Trinity Lutheran picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 3-11. As for Hauser, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Trinity Lutheran came out on top in a nail-biter against Hauser in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
