Football Recap: Montgomery Find Success

After losing to Somerville the last time they met, Montgomery decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cougars came out on top against the Pioneers by a score of 22-15 on Friday.

Somerville lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Justin Bowen, who rushed for 86 yards on only 12 carries, and also picked up 56 receiving yards. Dushawn Dorsey also helped out with an impressive 93 receiving yards.

Montgomery now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Somerville, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Montgomery will be playing in front of their home fans against North Hunterdon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Somerville, they will take on Rahway at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Pioneers will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
