Volleyball Recap: River Falls Beats Rice Lake for Their Third Straight Victory

River Falls entered their tilt with Rice Lake on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

River Falls had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-15.

Amelie Pankonin paced River Falls' offense, picking up 18 kills. Pankonin got some help from Allie Larsen and her 46 assists. Brooke Dusek controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

River Falls' victory bumped their record up to 27-5. As for Rice Lake, their loss ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-7.

River Falls didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Hermantown on the 10th. As for Rice Lake, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Stanley-Boyd on the 11th.
