Basketball Recap: Pinkerton Takes a Loss

Pinkerton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 82-71 to the Portsmouth Clippers. While losing is never fun, the Astros can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire basketball rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while the Clippers are ranked seventh).

Pinkerton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Portsmouth, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-3.

Looking ahead, Pinkerton is taking a road trip to challenge Dover at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Portsmouth, they will square off against Goffstown at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Portsmouth knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matches -- so hopefully Goffstown likes a good challenge.
