Central Cabarrus is 9-1 against West Rowan since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Vikings will face off against the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Central Cabarrus came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 6-0 to Lake Norman Charter. Central Cabarrus haven't had much luck with Lake Norman Charter recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, West Rowan fell victim to Northwest Cabarrus and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Trojans, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, West Rowan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 407th, while Northwest Cabarrus are ranked 122nd).

West Rowan has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11-1 record this season. As for Central Cabarrus, the defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 8-3-1.

Central Cabarrus beat West Rowan by a goal in their previous meeting back in March, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
