Soccer Game Preview: Bath vs. Defiance

The Bath Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the Defiance Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Bath is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Saturday, they were much more limited against Celina on Monday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 4-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Bath haven't been shut out since back in August.

Meanwhile, Defiance was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 11-0 to Elida.

Bath now has a losing record of 5-6-3. As for Defiance, their loss dropped their record down to 0-13-1.

Everything went Bath's way against Defiance in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as Bath made off with a 4-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
